The UAE Legal Summit, organized by UPPERCASE LEGAL, The Paragraph Magazine & Legal Talents, took place in Dubai on September 22-23.
The event brought together CEOs, leaders of legal functions, and finance directors from Russian and international companies. The event was opened by Mr. Abdulla Baker, Regional Director Middle East & Eurasia Chambers of Commerce. He noted that Dubai is a large house that is open to everyone. "We do not compete with other emirates or GCC countries, but, on the contrary, complement each other," assured Mr. Baker to the summit guests.
Alexander Kukuev, managing partner of UPPERCASE LEGAL, presented the concept of a global LegalTech project at the summit, which has already received support from regulators. "We have a lot to share. We have gone through a lot and are ready to actively participate in the transformation of legal functions in the MENA countries, we want to be useful in the region," noted Alexander.
Creativity, proactivity, and effectiveness are qualities that will help lawyers implement their plans, believes Ruslan Ibragimov, managing partner of IRS Advisory group. Ruslan shared best practices for building GR and legal functions.
The brilliant performances of speakers from leading companies such as Kraft Heinz EAST, Nestle MENA, CooperVision UAE, Coca-Cola, Systeme electric, and others left no one indifferent, and a yacht cruise on the second day of the summit helped to immerse everyone in the city's atmosphere.
